Situated in Danescourt on the outskirts of Cardiff, Europe’s youngest capital city, we provide food, fun and good times to a diverse range of customers in our historic, 12^th century courthouse building (complete with dungeons, so be careful).

The Radyr Court maintains its reputation as being the ‘heart’ of Danescourt by taking an active involvement in local matters. We are regular and enthusiastic sponsors and supporters of local sporting teams, hosts of meetings and functions of local voluntary groups and the base for regular police-resident liaison meetings.

It is the quality of our food that has set us apart from the rest in Cardiff. The South Wales Echo recently awarded our Sunday lunches a 9/10! (And they’ve never given a 10). Throughout the week we offer a diverse menu of over 100 hot and cold meals and snacks. Local produce is offered as far as is possible to ensure there is plenty to choose from no matter what your looking for from a light, healthy lunch to a calorie-rich treat. In addition, we offer, via prior arrangement, a range of buffet menus to suit all pockets. If you are organizing a function, be it a wedding reception, a funeral, an anniversary celebration or a birthday we will prepare the food and present it to you and your guests with minimal fuss.

If sport is your thing, we offer big-screen action with all the major channels. Our sports bar features screens no matter which way you turn and a sound system that surrounds you and transports you to the heart of the action.

Uniquely we feature our own Indian restaurant on our first floor. The Taj Mahal has gained an enviable reputation for the quality of it’s cuisine since it’s opening, some five years ago. You can find out more about the Taj Mahal elsewhere on this site.

Above all, it’s the warm welcome you get at the Radyr Court that brings customers back again and again. Most of our staff are long-serving (or is that suffering?) meaning that they are experienced in matters of customer care and well-trained in the needs of our industry.

We offer  fine selection of beers, ciders and wines from some of the biggest brands around such as Carling, Brains, Stella Artios, Magners and Bulmers. We sell only quality spirits from brands you know and can trust such s Smirnoff, Gordon’s and Bells etc.
